The fit and adventurous race down the Rio Naranjo through a delightful succession of rapids and lovely pools as this tropical river makes its way through the Costa Rican jungle and palm plantations on its journey out to sea. Usually a fun Class III river, the Naranjo River can move quickly to higher levels of difficulty and adrenalin during a heavy rain upstream. After a compelling set of rapids in the first stretch you will enjoy a delicious lunch served onshore at the halfway point, near the tiny village of Londres.
